Rockstar Workshops is an interactive, creative, and fun session for young people to experience various instruments and learn to play together! Hosted through the MCMA, Instructional sessions are mixed with jam sessions to try out what has been learned. Participants will be able to play different instruments (guitar, keyboards, bass and drums), explore songwriting and also layer tracks towards a recording project.
Facilitated by Lindsey White and featuring working musicians from Winnipeg as weekly instructors, Rockstar Workshops is a safe and comfortable space that encourages sharing, experimentation, discovery, and working together to make some beautiful sounds. No experience or previous musical knowledge is required, though any skills already developed will enhance the experience. Family and friends will have an opportunity to enjoy our progress during the last class of the session. Instruments and equipment are included in the registration fee. REGISTER EARLY as the class size will be limited to 8 musicians to provide a high-quality experience.
