Hi there,

I want to thank you so much if you are one of the supporters of Health for Lindsey White – I appreciate everyone of you so much more than I can say. I really hope you enjoyed the new and old music that I’ve shared – the instrumental double album of piano music I released and some demos of the next project I hope to release.

I am now in the homestretch before spinal surgery, finalizing the last details that need to be arranged and making sure that everything is taken care of. In case you aren’t aware or are just joining in here, I was born with spina bifida and after seven car accidents my spinal cord became tethered or stuck. Because I also have a connective tissue disorder, I now need specialized spinal surgery in the U.S… I fought really hard for it and now, fortunately, Manitoba health is going to cover the cost of this procedure, which is great.

My neurosurgeon across the border is a rockstar in their Area of specialty and they told me they’ve had patients in the past who could not Play their musical instruments before this procedure and then afterwards, they could… which is really encouraging for me and very awesome. So, even though it’s not a guarantee, there are reasons to be hopeful.

My personal hopes are that I regain even a little of the function I’ve lost… that would be awesome, but if I could gain back my function and also regain my ability to play all my instruments, well then my dreams would come true.

Unfortunately, my neurosurgeon here in Manitoba let me know that no spinal surgery patient is entitled to coverage for rehabilitation – there is no occupational or physiotherapy available at all for patients like me. So, I’m going to need some additional help as I recover. Right now I have no supports for other things that I’ll need such as mobility aids, treatments, therapies, medication… all that stuff. We could really use the support now at this critical time when the help I need is coming but in the meantime, I haven’t been able to work for some time and I’m struggling with many symptoms, including a lot of pain.

So, I’m just putting it out there one more time, as I’m finalizing my plans that I would love to have you on board this journey, if you are so inclined. If you want to help and if you want to hear some of the Music I talked about earlier –the July 2020 instrumental double piano album and demos from forthcoming projects, you can etransfer me at “health (at) lindseywhite.com” password: health or you can just check out the Amazon wish list I have shared on the health page of my website – That’s another option.

Last week I had an important therapy treatment that was paid for, gifted by my supporters and I could not be more grateful. It meant a lot to me physically, mentally and emotionally. And I just wanna say how grateful I am that I get another chance to rebuild the life and the functionality that I’ve lost. Along with the love of my life, Community care has largely been what has kept me going so… thanks for your support and thanks for listening.
